Governor Lujan Grisham's Upcoming Trip to Mexico City
Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham will travel to Mexico City next week to participate in discussions on clean energy and enhance energy security cooperation. She is set to engage in a roundtable meeting on Monday and will meet with U.S. Ambassador Ken Salazar during a reception.
On Tuesday, the governor will attend the inauguration of newly elected Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo. Lujan Grisham will return to New Mexico on Wednesday, with Lieutenant Governor Howie Morales acting in her stead.
The governor will be accompanied by her Chief of Staff Daniel Schlegel, Deputy Chief of Operations Caroline Buerkle, along with Secretary-designate for Energy, Minerals and Natural Resources Melanie Kenderdine, and Secretary-designate for Economic Development Rob Black. The travel expenses for the delegation will be covered by the state, as confirmed by the Governor's Office.
