New Mexico Governor Travels to Mexico City

SANTA FE – Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham is heading to Mexico City to engage in a Clean Energy and Energy Security Collaboration Roundtable and to attend a reception with U.S. Ambassador Ken Salazar on September 30.
The governor will also participate in the inauguration of Her Excellency Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo on October 1.
Accompanying her will be Chief of Staff Daniel Schlegel, Deputy Chief of Operations Caroline Buerkle, Energy Secretary Designate Melanie Kenderdine, and Economic Development Secretary Designate Rob Black. The state will cover the travel expenses for the delegation.
Gov. Lujan Grisham is expected to return to New Mexico on October 2. During her absence, Lt. Gov. Howie Morales will assume the role of acting governor.
