Royal Caribbean International Building New Private Destination in Mexico

Royal Caribbean International to Develop New Private Destination in Mexico

Royal Caribbean International is expanding its horizons with the announcement of a new private destination, Perfect Day Mexico, slated for completion in 2027 at Mahahual on Mexico’s Caribbean coast.

A Game Changer in Cruise Destinations

Building on the success of Perfect Day at CocoCay in the Bahamas, which has become the cruise line's top destination since its opening in 2019, the new site aims to capture the interest of travelers seeking unique experiences.

According to Jason Liberty, CEO of Royal Caribbean Group, the expansion reflects a growing demand for distinctive travel destinations.

Investment in Local Communities

The new destination will prioritize sustainability and partnership with the local government. Quintana Roo Governor Mara Lezama expressed enthusiasm for this investment, highlighting its potential to benefit local communities and showcase the region’s natural beauty.

Royal Caribbean is also developing additional private beach experiences, like the Royal Beach Club in Nassau expected to open in 2025 and another in Cozumel in 2026.

What’s Next?

Further details about Perfect Day Mexico will be revealed in the coming months, ensuring an exciting prospect for cruise enthusiasts.
