Travel Advisory Update: Hurricane Milton Alert

As of October 7, 2024, Hurricane Milton, classified as a Category 5 storm, is expected to strike the northern coast of the Yucatan Peninsula, bringing severe winds and storm surges.

A Hurricane Warning is in effect for Celestún to Río Lagartos. Meanwhile, areas from Río Lagartos to Cabo Catoche and Campeche to south of Celestún are under Hurricane Watches. Additionally, a Tropical Storm Warning spans from Río Lagartos to Cancún.
