Experiencing Luxury: A $3000 Night at Four Seasons Cabo
Invited to be among the first guests at Four Seasons' new 5-star beachfront resort in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, I anticipated a luxurious experience. At $3000 a night, I was eager to see what such extravagance afforded.
A Dreamy Awakening
The surreal feeling hit me on the first morning; I woke in my Ocean View Casita to sunlight glistening on my private plunge pool, just steps from my bed, with the stunning Sea of Cortez in sight. I had achieved a miraculous 11 hours of uninterrupted sleep—something I had never experienced in my adult life.
Despite usually being a chronic insomniac, I attributed my restful night to the healing properties of the fresh sea air or perhaps the enchanting Four Seasons beds. Realizing it was 10:30 AM made me anxious about missing breakfast. A call to reception confirmed breakfast was served until 11:30, bringing me joy as I now deemed this place true "Holiday Heaven!"
The Property
Though spending too much time sleeping at a premium resort in a top tourist destination might seem unwise, all I wanted was to unwind. The stunning Four Seasons Cabo Del Sol beckoned relaxation with its visually spectacular design resembling a luxury hacienda. Featuring whitewashed buildings, chic décor, and a Mediterranean vibe, the resort beautifully embodies Mexican culture.
With three dazzling pools, including an infinity pool for adults, a spa, kids' club, art studio, and a private beach ideal for whale watching from November to April, the resort had it all.
Culinary Delights
The resort boasts nine restaurants, including Coraluz, known for its elevated Baja Mexican cuisine, and Sora, the rooftop bar with breathtaking ocean views. I still dream about their Queso Fundido, a delightful Mexican cheese dish.
During my stay, I enjoyed an unforgettable tequila tasting experience. Although I may have gone a bit overboard with seven shots, it turned into a hilarious evening.
The Room
My hotel room was impeccable—spacious with 164 square meters, it featured an outdoor terrace and private pool. The lavish bathroom had double vanities, a freestanding tub, and both indoor and outdoor showers. The room was equipped with every amenity: a stocked mini-bar, ample wardrobe space, and convenient charging stations.
Exceptional Services
The Four Seasons App enhanced my stay, facilitating reservations and providing prompt assistance through its messaging feature. For example, I was able to change a dinner reservation effortlessly through the app.
Dining in the resort was made even more enjoyable by a portable hat and bag stand brought to me by attentive staff, reflecting their meticulous attention to detail.
Concluding Thoughts
Overall, my experience at the Four Seasons Cabo Del Sol was nothing short of a luxurious dream. The extraordinary level of service made me feel valued, ensuring a relaxed and delightful stay. I left Cabo revived and content, with a little less baggage—and not just physically.
